Health Information Technology (B.Sc.)
The Bachelor of Health Information Technology is a four-year undergraduate program offered by the School of Allied Medical Sciences at Shahroud University of Medical Sciences. The program is designed to educate qualified professionals who can effectively manage health information systems and support the digital transformation of healthcare services through the application of information technology, data management, and health informatics.
The curriculum combines medical sciences, information technology, and healthcare management to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of electronic health records, health information systems, medical coding and classification, database management, health data analytics, healthcare quality improvement, health information security, and healthcare regulations. Students also develop technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills required to ensure the accuracy, accessibility, confidentiality, and efficient management of health information in modern healthcare environments.
Practical education is an essential component of the program.
