Shahroud University of Medical Sciences Improves Its Standing in the 2026 SCImago Institutions Rankings

Shahroud, Iran – Shahroud University of Medical Sciences has strengthened its standing in the 2026 SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR), achieving 76th place among 189 Iranian universities and research institutions.

According to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of Shahroud University of Medical Sciences, the university's improved performance in the 2026 SCImago ranking reflects its continued progress in research, innovation, and societal impact—the three core indicators used in the SCImago evaluation system.

The SCImago Institutions Rankings is one of the world's leading international ranking systems, assessing universities and research organizations based on their research performance, innovation outcomes, and societal impact.
